About
A small Italian restaurant in Sherman Oaks, doing things the honest way.

Chef Sandro Oliverio
At IL Nido, Chef Sandro Oliverio brings the flavors and traditions of Calabria to Sherman Oaks. Our pastas and sauces are prepared in-house, using time-honored techniques, quality ingredients, and recipes inspired by family and regional Italian cooking.
That means fettuccine, spaghetti, gnocchi and ravioli rolled and cut by hand, ragù and pomodoro built slowly from scratch, and Italian classics served without shortcuts. IL Nido is small by design — an intimate neighborhood restaurant on Ventura Boulevard where the room is warm, the wine list is Italian, and regulars are greeted by name.
The Food
IL Nido is built around two things: homemade pasta and classic Italian cooking. Our pasta and sauces are made in-house each morning. The menu doesn't chase trends — it sticks to the dishes that have always worked, prepared with good ingredients and a steady hand.
The Room
We're a neighborhood place. Most of the room knows each other. New faces are welcomed the same way. It's a comfortable spot for a date night, a quiet midweek dinner, a family celebration, or a long Sunday with friends and a bottle of wine.
We also take takeout seriously — every order is packed so it travels well and arrives hot. Whether you're dining in or eating at home, we want the food to taste the way it does when it leaves the kitchen.
